My Halloween

This is the first time I've celebrated Halloween in a long time. My school decided to hold a costume contest. It was so hard to find a costume!!! I didn't know what I wanted to be. I decided to dig deep in the past and be what I've always want to be...a race car driver. I didn't want to be just any kind of race driver. I want to be a bombshell race driver. So I bought this wig that was so long and had alot of curls in it. Kind of like Kim Kardashian's hair and I overdid my makeup. I also had a hat, gloves, driver shades, and my brother's checkered Dickies bookbag to carry my books. Here are the pics!

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is one of my favorite months because we celebrate breast cancer awareness. Its such an important cause to me. At school, we held a breast cancer project for all of the programs. When I tell you it was a competition..IT WAS A COMPETITION!  Other programs were taking the contest to the extreme. We were the underdogs of the competition because we were the most talked about and the most hated. (no really likes pharmacy tech because we're the smartest and know how to do math really good) ***flips hairs*** Anywhoo, it was only 3 days left from the judging and we didn't have ANYTHING planned for our class project. So we all got together and plan this breast cancer experience. We had open mic poetry, a fashion show with breast cancer designed clothes, educational aspects, a pink lemonade bar, a movie viewing, and last a flashmob dance. I mean it was OFF THE CHAIN WHEN IT FINALLY CAME TOGETHER. We had practiced continually until the judging day and we put our heart into our project. The morning of the competition, we had some ppl try to mess with our stuff and talk about us. Later that morning, I gathered my class in a circle and we prayed over the project that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER. What was the outcome? WE WON THE COMPETITION!!!! I mean come on,  I went to Alabama State University where the theatre department rocks. Here's our formula of success creative minds + motivation of the haters = Winners. Here are the pics!

Since I've Been Gone

It's been a good minute since I've updated my blog. There's been alot going on....alot of good things. I'm still in my transitioning state as I said before. I have 2 more weeks left of my pharmacy tech program. I must say that I've enjoyed this program and all of the people I've met and gained friendships with. I really can't believe it's almost over. Graduation is Jan 24th! :) I'm finally employed now! I started working as a hostess at a restaurant. I was also hired as a makeup artist at Beauty Inc. Salon. Next month, I start externing as a pharmacy tech. I'm already claiming that job as mines. It feels like things are finally coming together. I can be so impatient sometimes but I'm willing to wait on what God has for me because I know it's good things. I'm not really thinking about a man at this moment in life. All I can think about is money, purchasing a new car, getting my own place, and starting my professional career. I think once I get settled in life, then maaaaybe I'll let a man in lol. I like where everything is going so far. The only way I see my future is going up. I know one thing. I wanna stay in the favor of God. He has really been blessing me lately and I'm so thankful.
